Heilongjiang farmer has dangerous addiction

A middle-aged farmer from Daqing, Heilongjiang Province, has addicted for years to benzene hexachloride powder, a highly toxic pesticide, the Life Daily reported.

Though she has been poisoned several times by consuming the pesticide, she can recover by just having a sleep.

Since her childhood, Cheng Shumei, 46, has had some rather unusual tastes she even drank petrol for a number of years. She then became addicted to the pesticide after having a taste of it.

Since then, she could not stop eating it everyday. She hopes doctors can help her quit this dangerous addiction.
