Six killed in chemical plant blast in E. China

Six people were killed and at least 30 were injured in a chemical plant blast happening on Friday afternoon in east China's Anhui Province.

The source with the provincial government said the blast occurred at 3:09 p.m. at a workshop of Dun'an chemical group Co., Ltd, which is located in the county of Dangtu.

The provincial government has founded a working team to organize the rescue operation and investigate the cause of the blast.

As of 20:30 p.m., the exact number of the injured workers and the cause of the blast are still unknown.
