Local residents, dressed in traditional
costumes of China's warring states period(340-278 B.C) take part in a Duan Wu
culture festival in Wuhan, central China's Hubei province May 27, 2006. The
festival, also known as Dragon boat festival, which falls on fifth day of the of
the fifth lunar month, is held to commemorate Quyuan, a patriotic poet in
ancient China who drowned himself in despair in the Milo River(in Hunan
