Man offers 'life for rent' (chinadaily.com.cn) Updated: 2006-05-26 11:31 An unidentified 30-year-old man in Changchun,
Jilin Province, N.E. China, put up a 'life for rent' ad in the city on May 24,
offering services ranging from shopping and dining to travel and massage for 100
yuan (US$ 12.5) per eight-hour day, reported the Changchun Evening News.
Believing himself to be competent in a variety of fields, the man came up
with the life-renting idea as a way to make a living.
"Except for services in bed, I can do whatever my employer asks," he told the
Changchun Evening News.
His familiarity with scenic spots in Chinese cities such as Beijing and
Shanghai make him an excellent travel guide, he has a driver's license and can
even offer traditional Chinese massages, as he once studied the subject, he
said. He even claims he has a head for business.
"In the case of a long-term rent lease, the fee is negotiable," he told the
newspaper.
He said he had a tight schedule for the past two days as he had received many
calls for reservations.
