Zhao Yu, (alias) a fresher at Sichuan International Studies University, has stunned many onlookers with her fabulous figure, and boldness in baring her body in front of a group of 50 cameramen.

The 20-year-old was first among a group of nine female models, all university students in SW. Sichuan Province, who volunteered to pose naked, for photographers.

All the photographers reportedly handed over RMB 800 each for this rare photo call at a local scenic islet.

The other eight models pulled back from fully disrobing at the last minute on Sunday and posed in swimsuits. But Zhao Yu kept her promise and stripped off completely.

Despite efforts to ward off curious onlookers, Zhao expressed anxiety about privacy, saying, "My parents and university authorities are in the dark about this. I won't tell a single one of my classmates."

"It takes a lot of courage and dedication to body art." Zhao added, "It was hard for me to decide to do this but my face will only appear in silhouette in the photos."

"We fully respect the models' requests and privacy," said Mr. Fan Qiang, one of the organizers, "The photographers chatted to the models before the shoot, to help them relax."

As well as motorboats carrying cameramen taking snapshots, a three-seat glider leased by photographers for 6,000 yuan hovered above Zhao Yu, as flashes lit up the air.

Local photographer Huang Zonggu, aged 72, also signed up to take photos from the glider.

According to Liang Longxin, vice chairman of the Chongqing Photographers Association, it was the first time photographers have taken body shots from the air.

All the cameramen said they greatly appreciated the opportunity and praised Zhao's courage.

But some of China's online community have described it as commercial hype and a stunt show in the name of art. "I just hope Zhao isn't hurt by this show and carries on with her life and study," said an online writer surnamed Wang.

A faculty member at Sichuan International Studies University, where Zhao is a member of the self-study department, said the school administration would not intervene with students' private extracurricular activities.
