Hair dye leads to leukaemia death? (China Daily) Updated: 2006-04-19 08:47
A female teacher from Beijing died from leukaemia recently, believed to have
been caused by frequently dyeing her hair over a period of 15 years.
Han, 51, was diagnosed with acute leukaemia three months ago.
Doctors said long-term frequent contact with hair dye was believed to be the
cause of the illness. They said that almost all hair dyes are carcinogenic.
Han dyed her hair every three months from the age of 36.
