A Chinese man who was wrongly jailed for 11 years for a nonexistent "murder" has found his first job as a marketing manager one year after being released from prison.

She Xianglin, 40, a former security guard in central China's Hubei Province, was convicted of murdering his wife in 1994.

But his wife Zhang Zaiyu, who actually fled to her parents' home due to poverty and disappointment with her married life, came back home in Yanmenkou Township, Jingshan County in March last year.

She was released from prison and announced innocent by a local court in April last year.

The man now works as a marketing manager in Yichang, where he currently lives, for a beer plant based in Shenzhen, a city in southern Guangdong Province, the Beijing News reported on Thursday.

She took his post on Tuesday and sold six dozen bottles of beer on the same day, the newspaper said.

"This is my first job after being released from prison, it will help me to build up confidence in a fresh life," he said.

The man got a compensation of more than 450,000 yuan (about 56,000 US dollars) from the local public security bureau as a court ruling made last September.
