Boating Festival in E.China

A "battleship" ridden of man with bamboo poles is
seen at the Qintong Boating Festival, which kicked off in the Qinhu Scenic Spot
in Jiangyan City, east China's Jiangsu Province, April 6, 2006. Up to 10,000
participants from nearby villages and towns, with more than 400 boats, took part
in the annual event. Held around Qingming Festival (April 5) every year, the
festival features theatrical performances, dragon and lion dances, and other
folk staged right on board the boats.[Xinhua]
