Japanese Finance Minister Sadakazu Tanigaki said on Friday he may discuss China's foreign exchange policy with Beijing officials in his upcoming visit to China.

Tanigaki also said that he thought that while China had been conservative in its management of the yuan since dropping its dollar peg last year, he saw changes recently.

"I believe discussions will be broad, ranging from China-Japan fiscal and financial issues to issues on Asia and the overall economy," he told a news conference.

"We may discuss the issue of the yuan as well as our country's efforts towards structural reform as part of the overall talks," he said.
