Chinese workers hang up a banner welcoming
Taiwan's opposition leader Lien Chan at a local hotel before Lien's
arrival in Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province, April 26, 2005. Lien
will begin an ice-breaking visit to the mainland on Tuesday, raising hopes
that his "journey of peace" can usher in better ties and reduce the risk
