The fact that many college students do part-time jobs during their summer holidays isn't new. But what is new is the kind of work many students are doing these days.

Piao Piao is a post-90s college student living in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. Recently, she took up three unusual part-time jobs: dog walking, encouraging bored computer programmers and comforting lovelorn people.

These jobs are well-paid. According to Piao Piao, she can earn more than 10,000 yuan ($1,505) a month if she does these jobs every day.
