China's top 10 counties most active in e-commerce startup

E-commerce has boomed in county-levels cities in China in recent years, according to a report released by Ali Research Institute, which analyses trends in digital technology.

In 2015, parcels sent out and received in counties and county-level cities exceeded 7 billion units, hitting a record high, the report said.

The report revealed a ranking of the Top 50 Counties Most Active in E-commerce Startup in China, based on online businessmen density, which measures the number of online businessmen per 10,000 people and services as a key gauge for the buoyance of e-commerce in an area.

The top 50 counties come from seven provinces, including 24 are from East China's Zhejiang province, 11 from North China's Hebei province, six from Southeast China's Jiangsu province and four from Southeast China's Fujian province.
