China-made products shine at overseas Expo

More than 100 kinds of high-tech machinery products with Chinese independent intellectual property rights became the eye-catchers at the CONEXPO-CON/AGG, the world's largest trade show for the construction industry, held in the US city of Las Vegas this year.

The latest products on display include modern rock-drilling equipment, road machinery, pile-driving machinery and hoisting machinery, most of which have had orders placed on them by overseas clients during the first few days of the expo.

The various pieces of machinery on show are the products of a total of 57 Chinese leading companies in the engineering and construction machinery industry, with companies including Sunward Intelligent Machinery Co Ltd, Sany Heavy Industry Co Ltd, Xugong Construction Machinery Co Ltd and Zoomline Heavy Industry all present.

"China's companies have great confidence in their overseas expansion prospects. The exhibition area of china-made products ranks only second to those of products from the host country, America," said Qi Jun, chairman of the China Construction Machinery Association.

"The major products from our group on display at the Expo include crane trucks, loaders, road rollers and excavators, with our total exhibition area covering area total of 1700 sq m," said Li Suoyun, vice-general manager of Xugong Construction Machinery Group, China's largest construction machinery maker.

"An increasing number of American clients are showing preference to our products, and this Expo reveals that China-made machinery is becoming more and more competitive in overseas markets," said Matteo Rolla, president of Zoomline Heavy Industry Science and Technology Development Corporation in America.

CONEXPO-CON/AGG is held once every three years, and is one of the world's best known exhibitions in the construction equipment industry. This year's Expo is expected to attract more than 2,000 construction equipment manufacturers and 140,000 customers from 100 different countries and regions.
