17 Chinese brands on World's 500 list

A total of 17 Chinese companies made their way into the 2010 list of World's 500 Most Influential Brands, released by the World Brand Lab on Dec 22, China News Service reported.

Chinese brands on the list include CCTV (China Central Television), China Mobile, ICBC (Industrial and Commercial Bank of China), and State Grid.

The World's 500 Most Influential Brands list has been compiled annually since 2004. "Share of market," "brand loyalty" and "global leadership" are three factors considered for the list, according to the website of the World Brand Lab.
