Baosteel to raise prices for October bookings

Baoshan Iron & Steel Co (Baosteel), China's biggest publicly traded steelmaker, announced on Tuesday it would raise the prices of its major products by 100 to 380 yuan per ton for October bookings.

According to the company's trading website, the price for hot-rolled coil will be increased by 300 yuan per ton and cold-rolled products will be 110 to 200 yuan per ton higher.

Baosteel has been a leader in setting prices on the domestic market, and other major steelmakers usually follow its guide.
