New arrival: New Toyota Prado

The mid and high-end SUV made at joint venture FAW Toyota hit the market last week, retailing from 538,000 to 698,000 yuan.

Powering the model is a 4-liter six-cylinder engine paired with a five-speed automatic transmission, which provides a top output of 202kW/5600rpm and a peak torque of 381Nm/4400rpm.

The SUV's length, width and height are 4,820 mm, 1,885 mm and 1,845 mm. It has a 2,790 mm wheelbase.

The company aims to sell more than 100,000 units of the new Prado in the next six months, almost close to the 2009 full-year sales of old Prado of 120,000 units.
