China Enterprises Index up 1.59% - June 14

HONG KONG: The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index gained 180.57 points, or 1.59 percent, to close at 11,520.59 on Monday.

The H-shares index, initiated in August 1994 and readjusted on September 7, 2009, tracks the overall performance of 44 major Chinese mainland state-owned enterprises listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The Hang Seng China H-Financials Index added 198.43 points, or 1.24 percent, to close at 16,236.31.

The H-Financials Index, initiated on November 27, 2006, readjusted on September 10, 2007, tracks the performance of nine major banks and insurers of the Chinese mainland.

The Hang Seng China-Affiliated Corporations Index went up 48.71 points, or 1.32 percent, to close at 3,744.50.

The index tracks the performance of 34 locally listed companies with a significant equity interest held by entities in the Chinese mainland.
