China's Taobao, Yahoo Japan unveil strategic tie-up

HANGZHOU: Yahoo Japan and Taobao, China's largest online retailer, will launch a strategic tie-up to sell each others' products, the companies said on Monday.

The initiative, to begin on June 1, will involve the setting up of e-platforms aimed at offering shoppers in China and Japan access to products from both countries, Yahoo Japan and Alibaba Group, the parent of Taobao, said in a joint statement.

Alibaba Group is the parent company of Taobao and Alibaba.com
