China Unionpay, China's national bank card payment network, and INTERAC, Canada's national debit network, have launched a new service that give China Unionpay cardholders traveling in Canada the ability to withdraw cash from ABMs of participating acquirers in Canada.

Currently the service is being offered at ABMs across Canada operated by CIBC and Open Solutions. ABMs that offer the service all carry China Unionpay logo. A fee of 1.5 Canadian dollars is charged per transaction.
