A Beijing subway station reopened to commuters Monday afternoon after being temporarily closed following a bomb hoax, police said.

An anonymous caller phoned the 110 police hotline at about 4 pm saying a bomb at the Military Museum Station of Subway line 1 would explode in 10 minutes, said a statement from the Municipal Public Security Bureau.

Police were dispatched to the station in western Beijing, but no explosive device was found there.
