Fortune lists 5 Chinese firms as fastest growing

Fortune Magazine listed five Chinese companies in its annual ranking of the world's 100 fastest growing companies, according to chinanews.com.cn.

Two out of the five companies were in the top ten. Sohu.com, one of China's major online news portals was the third; while Shanda, China's biggest online gaming company was the seventh.

The other three Chinese companies - ctrip.com, an online travel website, Asiainfo, China telecom's software supplier, and China Medical Technologies incorporated - ranked 38th, 40th, and 73rd, respectively.
