Tianjin FAW's sales up 43% in July

Tianjin FAW Xiali Automobile Co Ltd, a leading Chinese auto maker, said Wednesday it had sold 14,531 vehicles in July, up 43.3 percent for the same month last year.

The Tianjin-based company built 15,302 vehicles in the same period, up 28.6 percent year-on-year, the Shenzhen-listed company's statement told the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

The company's shares had lifted 2.03 percent to 9.06 yuan ($1.33) before the release of the statement.
