TBEA Co Ltd, a major electric power equipment maker, had won orders from the country's top grid operator State Grid worth 604 million yuan, the Shanghai-listed company said.

Xinjiang-based TBEA will provide transformers to State Grid for its power transmission project, according to an agreement reached between the two on Thursday.

The equipment will be delivered to State Grid between Aug 31 and April 15, 2011, TBEA said in a stock exchange filing Friday.

The country's biggest transformer maker is expected to post a 70 to 90 percent jump in its net profits in 2008, the company said in its preliminary earnings reports.

The company made a net profit of 538 million yuan in 2007.
