Insurers' assets top 3 trillion yuan

Insurance companies' total assets reached 3.38 trillion yuan as of the end of January, Li Kemu, vice-chairman of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, said at a press conference on Thursday.

Assets under management were 3.96 trillion yuan, with 83.9 percent invested in bank deposits and bonds, and 13.9 percent in stocks and funds, the vice-chairman said.
