Shenhua Group chairman quits

Chen Biting, Chairman of China's biggest coal miner Shenhua Group Corporation Limited has stepped down, Caijing Magazine reported.

The employee at Shenhua Group has been notified of Chen's departure on December 12, the magazine reported on its website, citing unidentified company source. 

The 63-year-old Chen, who became the chairman in 2003, is expected to be replaced by Zhang Xiwu, a board member of Shenhua and its current general manager.
