China July consumer confidence index rises to 94.5 points

China's consumer confidence index rose to 94.5 points in July from 94.1 in June, the National Bureau of Statistics said.

The index was at 94.3 in May and 94.0 in April, the bureau said in a statement published on its website.

The sub-index representing consumer satisfaction with current economic performance increased to 90.8 in July from 90.6 in June.

Meanwhile, the consumer expectations index, which focuses on the economic outlook, rose to 96.9 in July from 96.5 a month earlier.
