The Beijing Chaoyang District office of the State Administration of Taxation launched a "Welcome the Olympics and promote tax revenues" campaign, with the theme of taxation, development and livelihood at a taxation service center on April 16 in Beijing.

The campaign focused on the new Enterprise Income Tax Law and Olympics-related taxation policies, involving value-added tax, income tax and consumption tax policies.

Officials at the district bureau presented detailed taxation policies and procedures on eight exhibition boards and answered taxpayers' questions on the spot.

In a move to publicize Olympic taxation information and embody the Olympic spirit, the office organized an Olympic tax knowledge trivia contest and awarded Beijing Olympic souvenirs to winners.
