A golden partnership

A model dressed as a British guardsman stands next to a new London taxi, now manufactured by the Chinese company Geely, on the opening day for the public of the Auto Shanghai exhibition yesterday. One of he famous cabs, which have plied the streets of London since 1948, was revealed at the auto show in Shanghai. The gold-painted version of the London icon promotes the new venture between Geely and Britain’s Manganese Bronze Holdings, original maker of the car, which aims to produce 20,000 of the vehicles every year.
