Full steam ahead for plastic parts in auto industry
A raft of Japanese non-ferrous metal companies are swarming into China to cash in on the country's fast growing auto market.

Kobe Steel Ltd, a leading Japanese steel maker, has kicked off production at its copper plate plant in East China's Jiangsu Province.

The plant was constructed last July with an investment of 500 million Japanese yen (US$4.27 million).

"China has a huge market potential, especially for non-ferrous metal manufacturers supplying auto parts," a Kobe Steel executive said.
