Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp has unveiled the price of its first self-brand model, putting the Roewe 750 in competition against foreign sedans in the mid-to-high-range market. The Roewe 750, powered by a 2.5-liter V6 engine, will be offered in three configurations at prices ranging from 231,800 yuan (US$28,975) to 276,800 yuan.

Its main rivals in China are expected to be the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord. The Chinese-made version of Toyota Motor Corp's best-selling Camry with a 2.0- or 2.4-liter engine is priced between 197,800 yuan and 269,800 yuan. SAIC plans to launch 30 models in all mainstream market segments over the next five years.
