Ssangyong launches Rexton II

Korean auto company Ssangyong recently announced in Shanghai that it has officially launched the new Rexton II on the Chinese market, without revealing its retail price. A company source said the model measures 2,720mm long, 1,870mm wide and 1,760mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,600mm.

The Rexton II has two engine options. One is the German Benz technology-based RX320G 3.2L 6-cylinder petrol engine with a maximum power of 162kW, and the other, with a maximum power of 122kW, is the RX270XDi diesel engine with third-generation common rail technology.

The model's petrol engine is equipped with an electronic variable control device and its front bridge and oil pan are integrated into a whole, greatly reducing engine noise and vibration. The RX270XDi diesel engine adopts a multi-injection system which helps realize a maximum torque of 240Nm at 1,700rpm.
