Double trouble

Northern European rock royalty comes to the capital, with Finland's Negative and Norway's Malice In Wonderland in Beijing on the first day of the seven-day national holiday. These are two acts that will satisfy your hunger for 1980s nostalgia, as well as for fresh rocking music.

Yue Festival

Split Works presents its first ever music festival with headliners Faithless leading the lineup. A prime house-pop group and consistent club act, Faithless is at its core a duo of producers Rollo and Sister Bliss. Sister Bliss, a piano and violin prodigy from age 5, converted to acid house in 1987, and quickly became one of UK's best house DJs, also recording several singles herself.

Acclaimed hip-hop talent Talib Kweli will be coming to China on the back of his sixth studio album, Eardrum. Approaching legendary status in the hip-hop community, he has come a long way since Blackstar, the group he shared with Mos Def. "China has long been a dream of mine," said Kweli. "It's gonna be a privilege to connect with the country that will shape our planet's destiny."

Kweli will be joined by the double Grammy winning Ozomatli. This 9-piece from Los Angeles combines hip-hop, Latin, funk and soul. An unmissable live experience.
