Italian imagination

Selected works on paper from Italian artist Marco Del Re present unusual and extravagant dimensions. Since 1988, he has explored lithography, etching, linoleum and other traditional or experimental techniques in his creation. Having been influenced by the styles of Braque and Matisse, he has developed new forms of expression, which he had never approached in his paintings. The colors of scarlet red and sky blue are the main tones of pigments he chooses. Nepalese paper, traditionally made out of tree bark, completely soaks up the ink while maintaining sharp outlines.
