Korean designer's show
Korean designer Choi Bo-ko gave his debut show last week in Beijing. Taking inspiration from the design of fashion master Madeleine Vionnet, Choi favors silky satin and bright colored patterns to strengthen the romantic and sexy allure of women.
Catwalk casuals
Inspired by military uniforms and hunting jackets of the 1970s, a special show of Hongshanshu, the first Chinese brand focusing on casual business wear, was held on Monday at the Beijing Hotel.
In single colors like red, green and white, the latest collection features double-breasted suits with big pockets and collars, and leather linings.
To cater to a trend among more and more Chinese businessmen who favor smart casual over full-blown suits, designer Zhao Xufeng created a special series of business T-shirts, combining the traditional collar and cuff of formal wear with bright colored, simple, long sleeved T-shirts.
