A forum will be held from Nov 22 to 25 in Beijing to seek solutions for global sustainable development amid the low-carbon economy era.

The Global Sustainable Leaders Forum, with the theme of "Low carbon economy era: global emerging markets' opportunities," is the first of its kind in celebration of the United Nations International Year of Youth, which is from Aug 12, 2010, to Aug 11, 2011.

A total of 600 representatives from business, government departments and NGOs, and 600 other young entrepreneurs, outstanding athletes and organization leaders will take part in the forum.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who will deliver a video speech for the forum's opening, said he hopes young people will become involved in making policies that will be beneficial for their future as well as the current generation's future.
