NDRC raises on-grid hydropower prices

China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has issued a notification to adjust on-grid hydropower prices in some regions, China Securities Journal reported Friday.

The notification said several hydropower plants will increase their on-gird power prices.

The Three Gorges Dam underground power station, which will soon begin operations, will adjust the price of on-grid electricity delivered to Hubei province to 0.2506 yuan per kilowatt-hour (kWh), and for other destination regions, the price will rise by 0.0019 yuan per kWh.

The NDRC also increased prices by 0.003 yuan per kWh for on-grid power generated by hydropower stations under the administration of Guizhou province.

Other hydropower stations which will have higher on-grid power prices are located in provinces such as Hunan, Guangxi and Gansu and Chongqing municipality, according to China Securities Journal.
