Anhui's foreign trade in mechano-electronic up nearly 50%

East China's Anhui province generated $3.24 billion in foreign trade of machinery and electronics in the first four months of this year, an increase of 47.26 percent over the same period of last year, according to local customs house.

The total included $1.33 billion of imports, up 42.02 percent year-on-year, and $1.91 billion of exports, up 51.13 percent.

Between January and April, Anhui sold $229.8 million worth of machinery and electronics to the United States, up 105.73 percent year-on-year, $148.3 million worth to Brazil, up 498.25 percent, and $112.2 million worth to Japan, up 64.04 percent.

Imports mainly came from Japan, Germany and the Republic of Korea.
