The dialogue was important in carrying out bilateral comprehensive economic cooperation, Wang said during a meeting with World Bank President Robert B. Zoellick.

China and the United States wrapped up the two-day high-level S&ED on Tuesday following comprehensive and productive discussions on promoting growth and economic cooperation.

Wang said there was still a great deal of uncertainty about the world's economic recovery.

The Group of 20, as a major platform for global economic governance, should give priority to guaranteeing a strong and sustainable global recovery through effective measures, the Chinese leader said.

Hailing the success of the third round of the S&ED, Zoellick said the World Bank was willing to continue supporting China's economic reform and development.
