Jiangsu attracts more overseas direct investment

East China's Jiangsu province approved establishment of 1,028 overseas-funded enterprises in the first quarter of this year, a rise of 8.78 percent on the same period of last year, according to the provincial commerce bureau.

The projects involved $12.5 billion in contracted overseas capital, up 16.98 percent year-on-year, and $8.98 billion in overseas capital in place, up 22.85 percent.
