Deyang: CNOOC helps rebuild hospital

A handover ceremony marking the completion of the construction of Deyang People's Hospital Internal Inpatient Building was held on April 1, 2011, as an assistance program for Sichuan's post-earthquake rebuild.

The new inpatient building, with an investment of 86.8 million yuan ($13.37 million) from China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), covers 24,500 square meters and can hold up to 500 beds. It was designed to withstand an earthquake of up to 8.0 magnitude on the Richter scale and won a local structure prize. The construction began in April 2009.
