China stocks close higher Friday

BEIJING - Chinese shares closed higher Friday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 24.47 points, or 0.85 percent, to 2,911.51.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 163.74 points, or 1.35 percent, to 12,312.99.
