Mainland ranks 11th on Asian Competitiveness list

The Chinese mainland ranked 11 on the Asian Competitiveness list released by the Research Institute of Boao Forum for Asia.

South Korea topped the list in the Asian Competitiveness Annual Report 2011 as the most competitive Asian economy. The report analyzed 35 Asian economies.

China's Taiwan was second on the list, followed by Japan and Singapore. China's Hong Kong ranks fifth on the list.

The report also covers the competitiveness of 12,779 listed Asian enterprises. PetroChina outperforms its peers on the list, followed by Japan's Toyota Motor Corp and China Petroleum & Chemical Corp.
