China stocks close lower Wednesday

BEIJING - Chinese shares closed lower Wednesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 2.31 points, or 0.08 percent, to 2,955.77.

The Shenzhen Component Index declined 16.39 points, or 0.13 percent, to 12,661.22.
