Temasek names ex-CICC investment banker as China head

Temasek Holdings has hired Ding Wei, former head of the China International Capital Corp (CICC) investment banking, to lead its China operations, Reuters reported on Tuesday, citing a Singapore state investor.

"China is an important market for Temasek. We are all very pleased to have Ding Wei join us as a key member of our leadership team to anchor our long-term presence in China," Ho Ching, Temasek's CEO, said in a statement.

Ding, who has also worked at the World Bank, International Monetary Fund and Deutsche Bank, left CICC in 2010, according to the report.
