MACAO - The average Composite Consumer Price Index (CPI) for 2010 in Macao was 104.25, and the inflation rate stood at 2.81 percent, according to the figures released on Friday by the city's Statistics and Census Service (DSEC).

The annual inflation rate was driven up by dearer prices of meals bought away from home, men's and women's clothing, fresh fish and seafood, gasoline, gold jewelry and vegetables, which altogether contributed 1.9 percentage points to the increase in the annual inflation rate, the DSEC said.
