BYD's electric taxis on streets of Shenzhen

BYD Co, China's fourth biggest carmaker backed by Warren Buffett, has seen its electric taxis running on the streets of Shenzhen, a southern Chinese city neighboring Hong Kong, the company's chairman Wang Chuanfu said Friday.

Wang made the remarks at a ceremony to unveil the company's new car models at the 2010 Beijing International Auto Show (also known as Auto China 2010).

A number of carmakers are also showcasing their new energy cars at the show.
