Baoding city in northern Hebei province, near China's capital Beijing, has built two model industry parks to attract Taiwan businesses, Chinanews.com.cn reported Thursday citing sources at the city's Taiwan affairs office.

The Wangdu industry park focuses on green food processing, manufacturing and modern farming, and has attracted five Taiwan businesses. The park's first phase covers 133 hectares and will eventually be expanded to five square kilometers. The Xushui industry park will also be five square kilometers and focuses on high and new technology industries, including new energy, energy equipment, new materials, information technology, advanced equipment and auto parts.

Thirty-eight Taiwan business and trade delegations have visited Baoding city so far this year.
