China's stocks edge lower - Nov 2

BEIJING - China's stocks fell 0.28 percent Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.28 percent, or 8.59 points, to close at 3,045.43.

The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 0.71 percent, or 97.31 points, to finish at 13,646.46.

Combined turnover surged rose to 541.45 billion yuan ($80.95 billion) from 450.3 billion yuan the previous trading day.

Losers outnumbered winners by 500 to 374 in Shanghai and 701 to 387 in Shenzhen.
