JAKARTA - Indonesia is offering investment opportunities to Chinese investors to do business in natural wealth on the basis of mutual benefit, Antara News Agency quoted a deputy minister as saying on Friday.

"Indonesia has abundant natural resources, a huge market and positive economic growth, plenty of human resources and policies which boost investment and industry. It has become an investment destination in the industrial sector for foreign investors, including Chinese investors," Deputy Minister for Industry Alex S. W. Retraubun said.

He said he had elaborated on the opportunities to some 200 Chinese and Indonesian investors when he opened a business forum on industry in Shanghai on Oct 14, 2010.

The deputy minister said that Indonesia was one of the few countries which were able to experience a positive growth amid global economic crisis.

Indonesian Ambassasor to China Imron Cotan said that the potential and enthusiasm of both countries' businessmen to interact with each other had encouraged the embassy to facilitate and bridge their intention to establish business cooperation.

Over the past few months, the embassy had held various business meetings between government officials of the two countries and between private businesses, the ambassador said.
