Motorola senior executive to leave for HP

Gao Ruibin, chairman of Motorola (China) Electronic Co, confirmed with eNet, an IT portal in China, that he had handed in his resignation for personal reasons to end his 17 years at Motorola, ce.com reported Friday.

Motorola recently announced that Gao would step down on Sept 20 and be replaced by Motorola global senior vice president Karen Tandy, according to the report.

Gao will be appointed managing director and vice president of corporate services at Hewlett-Packard China starting Sept 21, the company announced on Thursday.
